I WANT A WEBSITE, HOW DO I GET STARTED?
1. Choose a website from our $50.00, $100.00 or $400.00 section.
2. Once you choose a site, click the buy it button next to the site you wish. You will have the option to pay via credit card or Pay Pal.
3. Once your purchase is placed, your site will be delivered within 24 hours! Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday. If you place an order after 2:30 MST on Friday, your order will be delivered on Monday.
4. You can work on your website at your own pace, from any computer and any browser on the internet.
5. When you are ready to launch your new website by BLU, you will submit a request to go live and within 24 hours your site will be up and running. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday. If you request to go live after 2:30 MST on Friday, you will be live on Monday.
NOTE: You have full control of editing your site, colors, photographs, music, logo, text, menu buttons, section titles and more!
Once you request to go live, you will have the same control of editing your new website by BLU whether you host with BLU or another company!

WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT?
Our websites are billed through PayPal. There are two options: you can use your PayPal account or if you do not have a PayPal account, you can pay via the credit card of your choice. If these two options do not work for you, then we do accept checks for emergency cases.
DO YOU OFFER PHONE SUPPORT?
We provide unlimited support via email for all our customers. We do not offer telephone support. We do our best to respond to every email within just a few hours of receiving it. All of our emails are answered by a knowledgeable member of our staff and more often then not by the developers and designers of our product itself! NOTE: If there is an emergency case and you request a phone call, we will make that happen.
WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY WEBSITE?
All purchases made before 2:30 PM MST, Monday through Friday will be delivered by 11:59 PM MST the same day. Purchases after 2:30 PM MST will be delivered the following day.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HOSTING COMPANY AND A DOMAIN REGISTRAR?
The hosting company provides space on its server for your website files, emails, FTP and more. The domain registrar is the company you bought your domain from. Our domain is bludomain.com! Some companies offer you both of these services. You need both of these services for your site to be live on the web.
WHEN DOES MY HOSTING ACTUALLY START, IF I CHOOSE TO HOST WITH BLU?
If you choose to host with BLU, your hosting starts on the date you receive your website links from BLU. This means one year from that date, you will be billed the yearly $100.00 fee to host with BLU if you buy a $100.00 website or you will be billed the yearly $50.00 fee to host with BLU If you buy a $50.00 website.
DO YOU HAVE RECURRING FEES FOR YOUR TEMPLATES?
All of our templates are a one time fee.
If you choose to host elsewhere, our hosting elsewhere fee is a one time fee
If you choose to host with BLU, our hosting fee is an annual fee
If you buy a domain via BLU, your domain fee is an annual fee

WHAT IS A DUAL PORTAL?
A dual portal allows you to edit two of the same websites from the same admin.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you need each portal to have a separate domain then a dual portal will NOT work. We suggest you purchase 2 separate sites and not opt for the dual portal option.
WHAT TYPE OF VIDEO IS COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR WEBSITES?
Our sites support .flv, .mov and .wmv video formats. Because .flv is native to flash it plays inside the site with our built in player. The 2 other formats play in an external popup window.
I DON'T HAVE A DOMAIN, CAN YOU PURCHASE ONE FOR ME?
Yes, we can purchase a domain for you, if it's available. Our domain fee is $15.00 a year.
I ALREADY HAVE A DOMAIN WITH ANOTHER COMPANY, CAN I CONTINUE USING IT?
Yes, if you own your domain then you can continue to use it. When you request to go live with your new BLU site, our hosting department will give you two name servers to give to your domain registrar! It's really that simple!
CAN I ADD THE VIDEO ADD-ON OR THE DUAL PORTAL ADD-ON AT A LATER TIME?
Yes, you can add the video or dual portal feature on at anytime.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN DIFFERENCES IN THE $50.00 AND $100.00 SITES?
$50 sites - Our simple sites. No shopping cart, dual portal, client proofing or video options available on these sites.
$100 sites-The majority of our sites including our latest releases are in this price point.
WILL I BE ABLE TO UPDATE MY NEW WEBSITE WITH BLU? THIS ANSWER IS FOR EVERYONE WHETHER YOU CHOOSE TO HOST WITH BLU OR HOST ELSEWHERE!
Yes, our product is extremely easy to use, our admin will allow you to upload and edit your own photos, text, colors, video, music, navigation button names and much more!
IF I WANT TO CHANGE THE FONT, HOW CAN I DO THIS?
Our websites do not allow you to modify the font within your admin. However, we would be happy to do this for you. Our fee is $20.00 per font change.
PLEASE NOTE:
1. You will be asked to send us the font in a .ttf or .otf format. The font will be applied to all text used within the site, this includes the navigation menu and section headers.
2. We do not recommend scripty or decorative fonts as they are not legible on a flash site. Additionally they tend to cause text shifting and misalignment.
3. Our flash websites support foreign characters in text sections only where the text editor is used. Unfortunately we can't support foreign languages for any other text elements due to font embedding issues.
DO YOU OFFER REFUNDS?
Once your website is built out on our end, then we do not offer refunds or exchanges.
DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM DESIGN?
No, at this time we do not offer custom design.
WHEN I PURCHASE A WEBSITE BY BLU, DO I RECEIVE THE .FLA OR SOURCE FILES?
The flash code for our websites is proprietary, and is not available for any of our websites.
IF I UPGRADE TO A NEW SITE BY BLU, HOW SHOULD I DO THIS?
First, we love your continued love for BLU! If you wish to upgrade your website with BLU, you will just order a site off of our website. At this time we offer no VIP rates due to our websites being sold at an unbelievable price!
Once you request to go live with your new site, our team will put your existing website by BLU in a temporary folder on your server. This allows you to use your current website at a future date.
I JUST PURCHASED ONE OF YOUR WEBSITES AND NOW REALIZE I PURCHASED THE WRONG ONE!
Unfortunately, if the website has been configured by our team, we can't offer an exchange or refund. In the case that we have not configured your website then we can refund or exchange your website selection.
A POLICY OF BLUDOMAIN
1. We keep all website links on file for one year. We are not responsible for your website links one year past your purchase date.
2. We will not honor any unused credits or gift cards that are not used within a one year period. No exceptions.

Yes, our sites have search engine optimization built into them, along with an area in the admin for you to maintain the meta tags used by search engines.

Yes, you can view and edit your website by BLU on a MAC or PC.

We have two HTML websites. Lucy and Betsey are our only HTML sites. Betsey can be added on to any website as an HTML option.
HOW MANY IMAGES CAN I UPLOAD TO A SINGLE GALLERY OR A PROOFING GALLERY?
We do not limit the number of images you can upload to the galleries, however for optimal performance, we recommend not uploading more than 200 - 250 images to a single gallery.
HOW MANY CLIENTS CAN YOU HAVE IN THE PROOFING SECTION AT ONE TIME?
We do not limit the number of clients you can have at one time. The only limitation would be the amount of webspace your hosting company provides you.
WHAT SITES DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR VIDEOGRAPHERS?
Emanuel has the most flexibility and features for videographers, including video on the homepage. Harvey is also an excellent choice because you can upload videos of any resolution.
CAN I ADD A FEATURE OR MIX AND MATCH FEATURES FROM DIFFERENT WEBSITES YOU OFFER?
Sorry, unfortunately this is not possible. Each of our websites is built out custom and is unique to the features it offers.
DO I HAVE TO USE ALL THE SECTIONS ON YOUR WEBSITES?
No, if you do not wish to use a particular section you can simply mark it invisible.
NOTE: a section you can't make invisible is the homepage
HOW DO I PROTECT MY IMAGES FROM THEFT?
We have disabled the right click menu on our sites to prevent people from being able to steal them. However, there are still other 3rd party screen capture products available, which we have no way to protect against these products. The only way to protect your images from theft on the internet is to watermark them.
I JUST PURCHASED A WEBSITE AND DOMAIN FROM BLU AND MY SITE IS LIVE ON THE INTERNET?
When you register a NEW domain through us, it automatically gets configured to point to your site. This gives you a head-start with the search engines. If you do not want people to access the site you can just make the splash page links invisible. You can still view the site at yourdomain/index2.php. For example: bludomain.com/index2.php
ARE SOME OF YOUR WEBSITES FASTER THAN OTHERS?
Yes, full screen sites will inevitably take longer to load because the images are larger. The larger the image or file size, the longer it takes to load. You have complete control of this, by optimizing your files by using the Save for Web feature in PhotoShop. This is our best recommendation.
Performance is dictated by the size of the images that are loaded onto the website. The computer and internet connection where a person is viewing the site will also have an effect.

GLOSSARY OF TERMS
SPLASH PAGE
The splash page is the first page that comes up when you go to your website address. It will give you access to your flash site or any other sites you want clients to be able to view. It also gives clients who do not have the flash plug in a link to the flash player plugin and notifies them of the recommended screen resolution.
DOMAIN NAME
The domain name is your web address and is what people will type into the address bar of their web browser in order to gain access to your website. It is also referred to as your URL. For example: Our domain is www.bludomain.com
HOSTING PLAN
Hosting is what is required for your files to be housed on a server. This is required if you want your site to be online. Your files are hosted on a server . Please note that hosting and domain names are independant of one another. In order for a site to be viewed online both hosting and a domain name are required. You can go live by connecting your domain name to your hosting account.
EXTERNAL LINK
An external link is a link you can create on your website or splash page that takes you to an outside website. A common usage for this is a link to your blog which is independant of your website.
TEXT SECTIONS CAN BE CATEGORIZED INTO THREE TYPES:
A. STAND ALONE TEXT SECTION
This type of section is a simple informational text page with an image and text. This is commonly used for an "about us" page.
B. MULTI PAGE TEXT SECTION
This type of section has a drop down menu - essentially a single button shows up on the main menu and when it is scrolled over it will reveal the subsections that you create in a drop down. Each of these sub sections has its own text and image.
C. ARROW NAVIGATION SECTION
This is a text page with an image and text that has arrow navigation so that you can advance or return to the next or previous text page. This is commonly used for testimonials sections, press information, or a way to showcase your different albums or a single product.
