BLU's Ashlee celebrates her 16th birthday with her five best friends in the city of lights! A last minute decision to gift her with a photo shoot from one of our very own clients, Joseph Victor Stefanchik made for a memorable day these girls will never forget!
In essence, it's all about capturing a fleeting moment.
** Receiving many emails asking this same question ... so I emailed Mr.Stefanchik
"Question - how did the girls get that light on their faces."
I had each girl hold their own flash unit that I fired remotely with a radio signal. This way, the each had their own spot light.

If I had to buy a present for my mom today, it would be ... When I went back to Vietnam with my mother in 2007 to visit family. We went with her to her old hometown looking for her long lost best friend. We escaped from Vietnam in 1979 and that was the last time my mom saw her friend. For over 28 years she did not know what happened to her friend
and feared the worst because of the war. We walked around her old neighborhood asking people if they know what happened to her, or if she was still around. After a few hours we eventually were led by a stranger to my mom friend's aunt. The aunt gave my mom a phone number for her friend who was living in Germany of all places. So, if I bought a present today, I would get her a plane ticket to Germany for her to see her friend. As matter of fact, I think I will do this.. thanks for asking me this question.

M: * ate dinner and danced with prince edward of monaco on one of my two trips through europe. * once rollerbladed down the highway after running out of gas * in kindergarten i kissed twin boys, cut off "bubble's" pigtail and wet my pants.... all in one day. awesome. * once hatched ginormous emu eggs when i was teaching fifth grade. who has the coolest class pet now?!!! * played soccer from age 5 through college... now a soccer mom... fabulousness * one more thing! no cavities. :)
B: * i've been half way through seminary for eight years, but somehow managed to complete my MBA in two.

the trees in virgin powder 'out of bounds' all day. Apples Bar for
beer and tator tots, then to my hot tub for a soak with a view of the
sunset. A friend invites us over for dinner, and we laugh all night.

wake up even earlier, good breakfast and some tea over emails (but
just open the good ones), out the door and hike up the mountain before
the lifts open with tele skiis on (hour and a half) then ski around
the mountain for about an hour or two if it's good, down by 11:00 or
so for a healthy lunch and then to the studio to get some stuff done
and maybe even a photo shoot. Spontaneous dinner with friends, home
early and curl up with Jon Stewart on my laptop in bed. Asleep by 11.
4. What I ate for dinner ... Dover Sole filets and asparagus. All cooked in olive oil with copious amounts of salt and pepper. a handful of Mukhwa (that candied anise stuff you get at Indian restaurants after the meal) and 3 chocolate covered espresso beans
5. A gadget I must have ... my shuffle ipod - how else would I be motivated to hike up the mountain every day? Gotta have my tunes. I love skiing around to them too, after.

5. Something I fear .... I fear what Global Warming could really do to our planet. The poor economy may slow things down a bit just because people won't be able to afford to waste so much, but that we could be on the Titanic and heading for disaster, no matter how hard we all become aware and try to turn the ship around.
6. What I do, to keep fit ... Yoga - I don't do it enough to keep really fit, but I truly believe it is the secret to life, both in terms of health, and happiness.
7. What I ate for breakfast ... caught me on a good day... a smoothy with strawberries, raspberries, bluberries, mango, banana, Spirulina, yoghurt, flax oil and seeds, sesame seeds, raw pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. (off days usually include bananas dipped in melted chocolate!)
8. 3 things that annoy me ... Lack of openness to share, learn, and grow.
9. Something I can't live without ... Oslo, Indigo, Ben, my family, my friends, the list goes on and on... so I suppose the real answer is LOVE.
10. What I have given up due to the economy ... I was never a big spender or shopper myself so I suppose I have had to give up getting great hand me downs for the kids!
11. A song on my iPod ... Don't actually have an ipod, but listening to Heather Nova's new album, Mishka, The Jasmine Flower . So raw and haunting, all wrapped up in one ethereal voice -

What's on my radar ... Raspberry jam...and the expansion of our studio to include a reception and viewing/consultation area. We're also partnering with a local charity to raise funds through infant photography.
