One piece of advice in the marketing department.... Know what you're good at. Too many people try to be good at everything, accepting anything they’re offered, and it's not fair to them or the art director that they are working with. After all, at the end of the day it is not only the photographer's eye but the art director's vision that are on the line.
5 things I must have on every photo shoot.... A camera! J An assistant is a close second, but sanity is another nice thing to have on set, though it often escapes me. Music, iPods, and the like can set a great tone but if you go that route don’t forget about good food as well. Sushi may seem nice to have around, but firsthand experience has taught me that it can go really bad, really quickly.
Something I MUST HAVE for my business in 2008....Time (quite cliché I know), or more me's.
If not a photographer I would have been... (Clears lump in throat). Ahem, a professional race car driver, or an aspiring professional racecar driver, or Michael Schumacher’s successor, or, well, you get the picture!
The photographer who inspires me ....I have always been a big Avedon fan, but other than him I also enjoy viewing photojournalistic works from a number of different photographers. Ironically enough I feel photojournalism is one form of photography that I do NOT excel in.
One BLOG I frequent often.... none really
Something that is overrated in this business... Travel. Whether I'm in Paris, France or the Paris Hotel in Vegas every day ends the same; I go to sleep in a bed that is not mine, miles away from where my friends and family are.
MAC or PC? Both, but I prefer the PC.
One thing I MUST do to improve my business... Get featured in a few magazines this year. Oh, and update my website more often which is easy with Blu's templates! (Sorry, shameless plug) J
On an average night I sleep .... 6 or 7 hours
My guilty pleasure... I definitely have a few of these..... The first would be wine, particularly red wine from South America, and more particularly Merlot from Chile. Another guilty pleasure that has followed me for years is Häagen-Dazs ice cream. In high school I liked the Cookie Dough, then it was Crème Brulee and Bananas Foster, and now it is Mint Chip (although I wish they made it without the chips).
Something that is beautiful... That early moment in a relationship where you find out the person you like is actually into you. All that wooing has paid off …….beautiful.

$500.00 to spend on yourself only - what is the first thing you would buy... Sushi; sadly I’ve exceeded this budget several times over on a single sitting, but there is something to be said about good sushi.
Something you must have... A Ferrari of my own! One of my clients pays me in trade and gives me a different car every week I am in town, so much of the time I drive a Bentley, Lamborghini, or Ferrari, and for this I am grateful. However, someday I want the opportunity to say, yes, that truly is my own car.
My best feature.... My best feature has to be the one thing that isn’t really something of my own at all. Rather it is the people around me that have supported me in the ongoing saga of life and photography. There is not one good reason why I should have the success that I do; I don't deserve it any more than the next person. However, with the help of my friends and the big guy above, I have come to understand that anything is possible.

Something about me .... The interesting thing about me is that interestingly enough, I find it exceedingly difficult to discuss….me. J
I am addicted to.... Kauai, Hawaii. I went there on my honeymoon in May and have already gone back once with intentions to return again in a couple weeks. It is the place that I go to in my mind when I'm traveling for work.
One goal I have this year.... To enjoy myself. I am young, I just got married, I love my job, and I am thankful for every day that I wake up. If there is anything I could want this year it is to help someone else enjoy life as much as I have been blessed to.

WPPI IN 2 WEEKS AND 2 DAYS!
Meet BLU at BOOTH 1321 in 2 WEEKS and 2 days. Due to many people leaving to Las Vegas at various times we are going to have a SUITE on Sunday and Monday at the Paris hotel where you can pick up your VIP tickets to the BLU Social. You will receive an email on March 7th about the details.

If not a photographer I would have been a... conceptual artist for motion pictures. In fact, photography was a complete fluke for me. I randomly bought a camera while applying to Art Center College of Design. I ended up ditching the college when I realized that taking photos made me happier than creating monsters and characters ever had.

Something I MUST HAVE for my business in 2008... A 17" MacBook Pro. Ok, ok, I don't NEED it, I won't die without it, but does that really matter?
Where I find my inspiration is... everywhere. Most of the time inspiration wakes me up at 2 a.m. and won't let me rest until I flesh out the idea on paper.
The photographer who inspires me is... THE photographer? It's hard to say. I spend a lot of time critiquing other photographers' work and it is rare that I find something that doesn't inspire me. Sante D'orazio and Rick Wahlstrom are just two of many that I have an immense admiration for.
One blog I frequent often... Well, I don't really visit many. I spend too much time keeping up with forums on the sites I am a member of. I have one bookmarked for some reason though, and I don't bookmark stuff unless it's really good, so I guess my answer is that one: digitalpixels.net
Something that is overrated in this business... is spending all of your time surrounded by models. Most of them are totally average people with average problems and average idiosyncrasies.
